Good Ole’ Days
Every Day are the Good Ole’ Days
After Church today we headed out for our Sunday Drive towards Point Reyes.
Twelve miles west of our house the Redwoods begin. I have to be careful not to wear sunglasses through the forest. The massive size and height block out the the sun.
Our first stop was Rancho Nicasio. The Rancho used to be owned by a couple who were patients of mine. Review:
We had a lovely lunch in a picnic ground setting. Again surrounded by those ‘Darn Redwoods’. But these trees were spread out and the picnic area was sunny.
We then headed out towards Point Reyes Lighthouse.
On the road we saw a sign: “WILDLIFE SEASON”. The wildlife can be visited at Drake’s Beach which is on the way to the lighthouse. Next stop: Drake’s Beach
The elephant seals were at DRAKE’S BEACH.
These 300-400 critters are the baby pups. They were born late January. Elephant seals are among the largest seals, with adult males typically measuring 13 to 16 feet in length and weighing up to 4,500 pounds. Females are smaller, averaging 9 to 12 feet (2.5 to 4 meters) in length and weighing between 900 to 1,800 pounds (400 to 800 kg).
There is something about the ocean. For me it calms me to a point of meditation.
As I travel, I Pray Thank You to Our Lord for His wonderful Creation. I pray Gratitude for my family.
Ok, Next Stop is North Beach (no Blunt Oregon Woman, my friend Wendy. Not North Beach in San Francisco).
The waves and ocean movement is spectacular.
My sweet daughter is displaying new hair fashion. I am sure it will be a world wide hit.
Our dog, Ms T. Is playing out one of the famous songs that directed me to UCSF for professional school (Graduated 52 years ago, I Gasp at the number)
Of course you remember the song: “When You Come to San Francisco, Wear some Flowers in your Nose”.
Wait. That doesn’t sound right?
But you get the idea, especially my mature Flower Children Friends may remember, but then again, they maybe cannot remember it.
Then heading home through beautiful forest, Irish Green Hillsides covered with Poppies (Couldn’t take a picture while driving, Sorry, Google Irish Green).
Now at home my wife, Thankyou again, My Lord, is preparing dinner.
Grass Fed Beef steak and Boiling organic Beets. Both from our local Farmer’s Market.
I am not going to turn on any news that detracts from our perfect Loving Family Day.
Please pass this note along. God is Love, We and Creation, are created out of God’s Love.
Every now and then I am Blessed with experiencing God’s Love in every thing I see. I even experience God’s Love deep in my heart and soul.
Song of the Day: “Peaceful Easy Feeling” by The Eagles
