I am not the Jackass Whisperer
Yesterday I was Trolled for “liking” a Meme that listed several perceived behaviors of Islamists. Behaviors that I found offensive
“Nick” asked why I hated Muslims? Couldn’t I be the ‘good’ man I am meant to be?
He called me a Racist.
There is an old saying: “Love the Sinner, Hate the Sin”
I am commanded to Love God with all my Strength, Heart, Soul and Mind. And to Love my Neighbor as Myself.
The behaviors of Islamists described in the Meme are despicable to me.
The behaviors are despicable regardless of who perpetrates them.
These behaviors are an affront to what may be called “My Values”.
I finally sent a copy of this story.
After which “Nick” and all his comments disappeared.
It may be possible that “Nick” was a BOT. I foolishly followed him down the rabbit hole of post/counter post/post.
Definitely, My Bad
Today, 2026, there are tens of thousands of slaves in Muslim Sudan
Remember
I have much to say about the Sudan. I am a proud member of the Knights of Columbus. We are a Catholic philanthropic group of men. Today, Sudan has multiple thousands of slaves. My organization along with private individuals, especially a wealthy New York Jewish family were able to get one slave released.
My posts are non political, however, this story must be shared on a humanitarian basis.
The young man we helped was a slave to one of the tribes in the Sudan. The Sudan is 97% Muslin.
He lost a sheep in the herd he was watching. His “master” became enraged.
The tribesman tied this young man of ~ 15 years old head/face down from a tree over an open fire. He then rubbed some form of hot peppers into the young man eyes causing blindness.
I don’t know if is the current situation. At that time it was illegal to pay cash for the release of a a young male slave.
We used a vaccine to prevent illness for the tribesman’s cattle.
That’s correct. Cattle Vaccine to ‘purchase’ the release of a young blind slave from the Sudan.
When the young man arrived in the USA, I met him at a gathering at Marin Catholic High School.
Several years later, the young man, currently living in New York, returned for a follow up visit.
Through his sponsor family he is going to school and uses a special computer designed for the blind.
Our nation is built with many compassionate peoples: Jewish, Catholic and other communities of Faith.
Let us remember this story and how a little kindness can save a life that was doomed to Slavery.
